Education

As an Interior Designer at a high-end architectural design firm specializing in residential and commercial projects from all across the GCC region, I’ve come to appreciate the importance of collaboration. I’ve worked closely with my clients, bringing their visions to life and guiding them through all stages, from strategic planning and visual 3D renders to project management. By emphasizing effective site supervision, I collaborate with architects, contractors, and designers from Europe, London, and Dubai to create cohesive, high-standard environments.

I have challenged myself throughout my career by taking on projects outside my comfort zone, which has broadened my design knowledge and expertise. I have actively honed my skills and expanded my understanding by learning new programs, such as creating virtual reality experiences for our projects. My goal is to continue growing as a designer while contributing innovative ideas that push the boundaries of design.

As I prepare to transition to the UK while finalizing my projects here in the GCC, I have been familiarizing myself with the interior design and architectural market in the UK. Additionally, I have studied the country’s building codes and regulations. Eligible to work legally in the UK.

Work Experience

Junior Interior Designer
June 2013 - January 2016

Senior Interior Designer and Managing Partner
January 2016 - Present

  • As a junior interior designer, I had the invaluable opportunity to assist the senior architect on various projects, which significantly contributed to my professional growth. By shadowing him, I not only learned essential skills but also actively participated in client meetings, where I took detailed notes on their objectives and project requirements.

  • I played a crucial role in collaborating with the senior architect and our design team to develop innovative design solutions and concepts using hand sketches, CAD drawings, and 3D renderings. I also assisted in presenting these design concepts, ensuring open communication with clients as we discussed changes before arriving at finalized decisions.

  • I produced meticulous final 3D renderings that captured every detail. I created comprehensive documentation that included furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E), sectional views, elevations, and detailed floor plans, including reflective ceiling and electrical plans.

  • I proactively created architectural 3D renderings as needed, demonstrating my readiness to contribute to the projects. I also conducted on-site visits in coordination with the senior architect, ensuring the projects adhered to their timelines and met deadlines.

  • Under the senior architect›s guidance, I visited factories, such as stained glass and marble warehouses. This experience underscored my commitment to being involved in every aspect of our projects, which is crucial for maintaining high quality and attention to detail.

  • Additionally, my yearly attendance at Milan›s Salone del Mobile guarantees that our work remains cutting-edge. This commitment to staying informed about the latest technologies in home automation systems, electrical fixtures, materials, kitchen and bathroom fittings, and furniture amplifies my professional knowledge and enhances our design approach.

  • As I was promoted to Senior Interior Designer and Managing Partner, I took full responsibility for the Interior Design department at Dform Architects & Interiors.

  • I independently met with clients at every stage, discussing their vision and requests. This included detailed discussions about dressing room layouts, requirements for various areas of the house such as bathrooms and kitchens, as well as budget considerations.

  • I was given the full responsibility to arrange meetings with clients and other contractors and suppliers of the projects, where I was flexible with my working hours to accommodate clients living abroad and adjust to their time zones for meetings.

  • Utilizing a range of media and programs, including 3D Max, Revit and Photoshop, I accurately interpret and represent the clients› ideas. This allows me to produce high-quality 3D renders, Virtual Reality, and client pitch presentations that effectively communicate the design vision.

  • I designed architectural elevations for both residential and commercial projects, revising floor plans and layouts while studying the structural drawings. I coordinated with the architect and engineer to implement necessary changes. After creating the 3D renders, I presented the architectural projects to the clients alongside the Senior Architect.

  • I effectively managed project timelines to ensure deadlines were met by creating schedules and conducting on-site visits. I provided quick design solutions under pressure to keep the projects on track and ensure delivery within the client’s budget, without compromising the quality of the design.

  • Created a complete construction document package for each project. This comprehensive package includes all the necessary details and specifications, ensuring a smooth and efficient construction phase.

  • I personally visited factories, such as marble warehouses and carpentry shops, for follow-ups and quality control, ensuring that the highest standards were maintained.

  • I coordinated with the UK design team, Ora Bianco, to help develop parts of a high-profile residential project.

  • Responsible for training and supervising new team members and distributing and coordinating alongside the projects to ensure a positively executed result.

  • I also focused on developing and improving the company’s website and portfolio presentation and managed the company’s social media accounts.

  • I am continually committed to professional development by staying up-to-date with the latest trends in the design world, including automation systems, electrical installations, light fixtures, materials, furniture, and fittings.
